What do you like most about your Job?
I am truly satisfied with my job. At EMA I am responsible for making and developing new leather samples and creating innovative designs for the samples.
What is your favorite Good for All product?
My favorite Goodforall products are ‘MYPAPERBAG’ and ‘Laptop Bag’. This is mainly because the design of these products is trendy, stylish and simple, and we usually get large orders for these particular items.
What does Fair mean to you?
Fair to me would mean a justified distribution of wealth which can supports us on an economical, physical and psychological basis.
What is your Life’s motto?
My Life’s motto is to try and be good to all; family, friends, colleagues, and all those who have helped to make my life meaningful. On a personal basis my motto is to provide support for my family.
What would you do if you had a one month holiday?
If I had a one month holiday, I would travel to any hill station with my family.
Where would you travel if you could travel anywhere you wanted?
I would travel to any place in India but would especially like to visit Darjeeling with my family.

EMA chose a location with a great deal of unemployment in the countryside. It is located in Baripur, a village outside of Calcutta. Since the beginning of 1977, EMA is active in several areas such as education, improved working conditions, the environment, female participation, education, employment for the disabled and people who have no chance in the workforce. India differs greatly from our country. Furthermore EMA ensures that the production continues and that the products are of such a high standard that they compete with non-fair trade products.

The people who make them are treated with respect and because of the cooperative form, everyone shares in the profit. This ensures happy faces and a commitment to produce quality products. These people sincerely want to be proud of their product.
Goodforall is fortunate to have been a regular guest in this wonderful workplace which is located in the center of a beautiful garden. We stay here and eat with the employees to ensure we have the opportunity to bond with them.
EMA produces the Patch8 series, and MYPAPERBAG Dark Chocolate and Blond. We are so proud and fortunate to work with this wonderful project and will do anything to ensure we can place a great deal of orders; and ensure many people receive an education and a career.
